  • Plate 150 Temple of Wady Kardassy, Nubia - After David Roberts

    A depiction of the Temple of Wady Kardassy in Nubia by David Roberts on his sketching trip to Egypt and the Holy Land between 1838-1839. Nubia is a region along the Nile river between the first cataract of the Nile and the confluence of the blue and white Niles. The drawings and watercolours from this tour of the Holy Land and Egypt by Roberts were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period (1842-1849) by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. This lithograph is from the Royal Subscription Edition (1842-1849) with only 500 copies produced per depiction.
