Plate 48 Banks of the Jordan - After David Roberts
A scene of bathers by the banks of the River Jordan in the Holy Land from David Roberts' tour in 1839. The drawings and watercolours were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. This lithograph is from the First Edition folio (1842-1849).
Medium: Original First Edition, half-plate hand-coloured lithograph on thick woven paper.
