Plate 63 Caiphas, Looking towards Mt Carmel - After David Roberts

A scene depicting Caiphas looking towards Mount Carmel. The Sea of Galilee is in the background a ruined boat dominating the composition. The drawings and watercolours from this tour by David Roberts of the Holy Land and Egypt were collated together into folios and released over a seven year period by the publisher F.G. Moon from 20 Threadneedle Street London. This lithograph is part of the Royal Subscription Edition (1842-1849).
