George Chinnery (1774-1852) - Landscape with a castle
An interesting watercolour by Chinnery of a castle in a landscape. The work appears to be of an English scene which would suggest the picture was painted before the artist sailed to the East in 1802.
Medium: watercolour on paper, 5.5 x 9.5cm, framed (includes Museum anti-reflective Artglass).
Provenance: Collection of Bill Thompson (Albany Gallery).
Condition report: generally very good with vibrant colours. There are a couple of small foxing marks which are only obvious when viewed up close.
